Importance of Volunteers
At Dignity U Wear, we don’t just appreciate our volunteers—we couldn’t run our organization without them. Ninety-five percent of the intake work we do with the new clothing donated to us from manufacturers and retailers is handled by our volunteers.
Individuals and volunteer groups are truly the life blood of Dignity U Wear. They sort incoming clothing to ready it for distribution to people in need. During 2007, volunteers contributed more than 27,000 hours of time to us.
As we continue to expand, our need for additional volunteers will increase. The reality is that we couldn’t exist without their good work and generous support and we will be forever grateful for their assistance.
