Volunteer shifts are as follows:
Monday – Friday 8:30 – 12:00, 12:30 – 4:00 or all day (with 1/2 hr. lunch break)
Saturday – 9:00 – 11:30. 12:00 – 2:00 or all day (with 1/2 hr. lunch break)
- Building access may not be available outside of standard Volunteer Hours. Please make transportation arrangements accordingly.
- Lunch is Noon-12:30PM Monday through Friday and 11:30AM-Noon on Saturday. Dignity U Wear has a refrigerator, microwave, drink and snack machine available. We recommend volunteers staying through lunch break bring their lunch.
- As the majority of daily DUW volunteer opportunities take place in a warehouse environment, we suggest the following dress code:
- Tennis or work shoes recommended.
- Casual clothing appropriate for activities that may include bending, stretching, lifting, etc. (e.g. blue jeans, short sleeve t-shirt, etc.)
- Please, no personal entertainment devices (MP3 Players, Video Games, etc.) during volunteer work hours.
